The pneumothorax management model is a medical simulation tool used for training and education, especially suitable for the operational skills training of emergency thoracic surgeons in pneumothorax management. Pneumothorax is an acute chest disease that usually occurs after the rupture of lung tissue. Air entering the chest cavity compresses the lungs and affects normal breathing. Through the pneumothorax treatment model, trainees can simulate the treatment of various pneumothorax conditions in a risk-free environment and master first aid techniques.

1. Description and Function

[Description]

A model is half the torso of an adult. This model has a realistic appearance and a vivid thoracic anatomical structure, providing a practical training tool for clinical teaching. It is suitable for medical schools, nursing schools and clinical workers to demonstrate and practice the treatment methods of pneumothorax.

[Features]

The male chest circumference structure model features anatomical structure, with clear markings on the surface of the clavicle, ribs, sternum and nipples, and the structure is realistic.

2. Correct anatomical markers for assisting in positioning training;

3. Provide the gap between the bony lines on both sides of the second rib or the fifth layer of the midline of the armpit. Chest wearing decompression training is sufficient to eliminate gas.

4. The method of stepping on air is very convenient.

5. Replaceable airbags provide a distinct breakthrough sensation when inserted into the pleural cavity.

6. Anatomical structure: Clavicle, supraclavicular notch, sternal Angle, cervical rib, intercostal space.

7. Use an air brooch for tension pneumothorax decompression.

8. The lung pouch can be reused repeatedly. Pierce the vein.

9. Puncture sites: Puncture at the second intercostal space along the midline of the subclavicle on both sides, and puncture at the fifth intercostal space along the axillary line.

2. "Operating Procedures"

The application process of the pneumothorax treatment model mainly includes the following steps:

Condition Assessment  : Interns first need to examine the patient's breathing condition, chest condition and vital signs to determine whether it is pneumothorax.

Puncture and drainage  : On the simulated pneumothorax chest wall, trainees need to choose an appropriate position to perform thoracic puncture or intubation operations. The air in the thoracic cavity is expelled through the correct puncture position (usually along the second intercostal space along the midline of the clavicle) to relieve the pressure on the lungs.

Monitoring treatment effect  : After the surgery, the trainees need to monitor the changes in pneumothorax to confirm whether the gas has been successfully discharged and whether the lungs have expanded again.

The management model of pneumothorax is of great significance in emergency rescue and thoracic surgery training. Provide trainees with a simulated environment to help doctors and emergency personnel master the skills of handling pneumothorax under the premise of ensuring safety, and improve their emergency medical response and handling capabilities.
