The advanced pressure ulcer care model is a training tool specially designed for nursing teaching, mainly used for practical training in pressure ulcer prevention and care operations. The operation steps should follow standardized procedures to ensure that trainees master the correct skills.

First, the  preparation stage  : Check the integrity of the model and the simulation of the skin in each part, and prepare the necessary items, such as sterile gloves, dressings, disinfectants and nursing equipment. Ensure that the operating environment is clean and safe.

Secondly,  Assess the condition of pressure sores  : Observe the size, depth, color and exudation of the pressure sores in the model, record the baseline information before nursing, determine the stage of pressure sores, and provide a basis for subsequent nursing.

Next,  cleaning treatment  : Wear gloves and clean the pressure ulcer wound and the surrounding skin with normal saline or non-irritating disinfectant. Be careful to move gently to prevent damage to the surrounding tissues.

Then,  Dressing change and care  : Select the appropriate dressing based on the type of pressure ulcer, cover the wound properly, and ensure that the dressing is intact and closely adheres to the skin. Protect high-risk areas, such as using foam pads or mattress ulcer prevention pillow pads.

Subsequently,  Nursing Record and Monitoring  : Record the operation process and dressing change situation, regularly observe the model's pressure ulcer reaction, and simulate the clinical nursing assessment and tracking effect.

Finally,  Summary and Review  : Trainees can review the operation process based on the model feedback, correct non-standard operations, and enhance their awareness of prevention and care.

Through systematic training of the advanced pressure ulcer care model, trainees can master the operation steps such as assessment, cleaning, dressing change and care record proficiently in a safe environment, improving their clinical nursing skills and patient safety awareness.
